The course on Agricultural Statistics was designed to provide students essential knowledge and know-how in performing their skills in research. The course is tools of data analysis to be used in helping management decision making and operations research, it is an important scientific approach used to assist in decision making, combining with information related to qualitative and quantitative factors. This course arms at training students on techniques of statistics, probability, comparative statistics, multivariate data, and predictive models, etc. to resolve problems encountered in sustainable agriculture. Particularly, to make to students familiar with statistics’ theory needed in Agro-Environment, and with Statistical Software R, which is currently widely used by numbers of researchers in the world.
Research is important for development. Research methodology is critical in achieving the research goal and objectives. Research is an effective in higher education in everywhere. Therefore, the course is taken to strengthen students of master degree. The course will be covered on the steps of scientific research, and provide participants with and in-depth understanding of the various methods of conducting research in a field of sustainable agriculture, data collection, and choosing data analyses tools.
The course is designed to give graduate students the necessary skills to write a research proposal, research article and thesis, and to prepare other professional materials for presentation or publication. Topics covered in this course include: searching the scientific literature; scientific writing style; referencing (APA style); writing graduate level papers, proposal, and thesis components; preparing scientific presentations; preparing the abstract for oral or poster presentation at the conference.
